Last Friday night was the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at our local library. This was Arin’s THIRD year going… I can’t believe it! I am going to try to find pics from when he was a baby and we went so I can make a comparison of all three times. The only bad part was that this year the fire truck that Santa arrives in LEFT before Arin had a chance to get on and play… that was pretty disappointing. Last year it stayed the whole time and the kids could get up in it and explore right until…

Here are a few shots from Thanksgiving. We had a full house, Noni and Uncle Eddie came up for a visit, Lauren flew in from England, Dan came in from Boston, Todd came home from school, etc! We always have a cozy little dinner all smooshed into the kitchen. The one downside was that Arin did.not.want. to be a part of Thanksgiving at all. He was a little overwhelmed from all the visitors and starting daycare that week… so he basically just ate a roll and then ran around for the rest of the time. Oh well!

Yesterday was absolutely perfect… the temperature was in the high sixties and for December… that’s gorgeous! Arin had daycare during the day, and Dad wanted to take a trip out to enjoy the weather, so we got in the big van, picked up Bobo and headed out to the Ashby state forest. Of course, by the time we got there the sun had already set (since it gets dark at 4 now!) and it was getting cold and dark out. But we stayed for a while, until it was *pitch black* and we nearly fell off the bridge trying to…

Just saying ‘Hi’ before we head out to the pumpkin patch! And of course, here’s one of Bobo practicing dressing up for Halloween… this is his ‘Cowboy’ look:

It seems this summer went from busy to crazy busy starting around the Fourth of July and just not letting up. We have had more combined doctor’s visits in the past month and a half than I swear, the past three YEARS. Between me and Bobo it’s been crazy health issue central… combine that with a bunch of summer activities, my class, parties, visits, birthdays, home improvements, trips and general mayhem… wow. So it was really nice to finally have a day just to veg out and relax with NOTHING looming for the ENTIRE day. Well, I did have to…

Lately I’ve been looking at Arin and I can’t fathom how he got SO big so fast. I look through old pictures of him as a chubby little bunny and wonder where that went… when did my tiny baby sneak off and grow into a little boy? And why didn’t he ask my permission first?? I’m glad he’s getting bigger and exploring the world and learning all sorts of fun things, but it’s still sad to think how much time has already gone by, and that he’ll never be a tiny little munchkin again. At this rate, he will be…

Today Arin finally got his 18 month shots… some of them anyway… and a blood draw. It was not that great of a day for him. He started off by going to be very late, and then waking up a few hours later at 4am. Pretty rough on mommy too! Then, when he passed out for a nap, he had to wake up immediately to go to the doctors. After waiting around for EVER, he was then subjected to dual leg shots… and after that painful experience he thought he was in the clear, but he had the worst part…
