No, just kidding, we didn’t actually go to a 70s party (I just used PW’s 70s action on these photos). We went to a baby shower for Mary, a girl my mom works with. It was fun, and we ended up staying until almost 10pm! They had lots of good food – like the empanadas that my mom loves, and a delicious pineapple cake with meringue frosting that Mary’s neighbor (a former pastry chef from the Dominican) made. The only unpleasant part of the evening was a horrifying game they made everyone play… it was traumatizing. I’ll post/describe more later,…

Arin loves trucks and cars, so it was no surprise when he was set into fits of joy over getting to ride and ‘drive’ a huge tractor! It was a windy day and there was a big metal windmill that Bobo found almost as fascinating as his tractor. I just loved all the crazy faces he kept pulling, he was having so much fun! Checking out the whoosing windmill again: Showing mommy how to drive a tractor: Now he has to show Momo how it works: There was a peacock sitting on the other side of the fence. Those things…

Here are more pictures from Mother’s Day, when we went to the Franklin Park Zoo. They had a pretty good selection of animals and exhibits, not too many that you couldn’t cover them all. We got there after the petting zoo was closed, so I’m sure that would have taken up a lot more time, knowing Bobo! 😉 The Stone Zoo is closer to us, but they don’t have lions or tigers or giraffes… just bears. They had an ostrich in with the wildebeast and the zeebas:… it was freaky. The zebras had really pretty coats with very sharp markings……

Happy Belated Mother’s Day to everyone! I have a bunch of pictures to put up and write about, but I’ve been busy preparing for finals and other stuff that I have a backlog. I hate backlogs! 😉 Here’s a little bit of our Mother’s Day… I hope everyone had a nice one, we certainly did! My Mom, Arin and I went to the Franklin Park Zoo (they were having a Treat your Mom day)… then drove around the Blue Hills Reservation looking for the Arnold Arboretum (for a very long time) then took a little… detour through downtown Boston. We…

Oh the things he gets himself into… This also happens to be the 100th post for this blog… guess my resolution to keep updating has been going well these past few months! Thanks for hanging out with us via the interwebs. 🙂

For Easter my Dad got Arin a huge bag of Skittles (along with an unreasonable amount of other goodies), and he had been happily chomping on them asking for his “king-ghee” every day. Until the day he figured out he could do this instead: Just to avoid confusion, those are gooey, icky, drippy Skittles that have been crushed once or twice by the powerful jaws of a Bobosaur and then artfully arranged for his mommy to discover after they had hardened onto the table. Here is a very pleased-with-himself Bobosaur. (Taste the Rainbow!)

A few days ago I took Arin to Snip-its for a haircut since they sent a Grand Opening coupon in the mail. I have to say, I’m not impressed and I don’t think I’ll be going back. They have little tvs and stuff that plays a TEN MINUTE video of stupid stuff that then automatically shuts off… and the waiting area has a little table with a few puzzles on it… and when you check out there is a price machine that gives little 1cent pieces of plastic junk, etc… and after ten minutes this really loud annoying buzzer goes…

Arin used to hate wearing hats when he was a baby. Refused to do it, would rip them off after 2 seconds. Now, I guess he thinks they’re alright… but it’s even more fun for him to put them on other people! 🙂

Today Arin finally got his 18 month shots… some of them anyway… and a blood draw. It was not that great of a day for him. He started off by going to be very late, and then waking up a few hours later at 4am. Pretty rough on mommy too! Then, when he passed out for a nap, he had to wake up immediately to go to the doctors. After waiting around for EVER, he was then subjected to dual leg shots… and after that painful experience he thought he was in the clear, but he had the worst part…
