Finally managed to take a proper video of the kids in 4k, and it’s from this past weekend so it’s current too! It’s also not a short video and not in phone format so basically a real youtube-style vlog for once! The weather was nice and warm so we decided to all go outside and explore the woods around our yard. Two years ago we did a lot of work clearing out trails and getting rid of prickers, but of course they have all grown back now!
We also had almost completed a trail through our giant patch of reeds to the water because there is an inlet from the sound close behind where we live, all the neighbors have nice paths and docks on there and we wanted to be able to walk down too! We never made it all the way through, so we thought if we started early this year we might be able to forge a trail in time for spring/summer. Of course all the reeds had grown back as though we had never made any effort at all, but crushing them down is half the fun, right?
Now we just need to find our old sickles and farm tools that have been here for a hundred years so we can get rid of the prickers and giant vines that are clogging up the other hiking trails. Maybe we’ll have another vlog soon, stay tuned!

Such a fun adventure, I hope we can get some more nice days to go out and explore our surroundings!
Hey it looks like a real fun time for the kids, they’re lucky to have such a nice place to grow up there and play outside
Whoa, that place is out of some kind of story, never seen big tall plants like that around here, looks like jurassic park!
The backyard you have is very magical, as a kid we could not dream of playing somewhere like a different planet or something
