When I saw this recipe for Monkey Bread by Pastor Ryan on Pioneer Woman Cooks… I immediately put the ingredients on my shopping list. It looked SO yummy, and personally I had never heard of it before. Click that link for the recipe and step-by-step instructions, I’m too lazy to write them out here. 🙂 I should say, this was like a heart attack in a bag, probably because I did something wrong? It calls for an angel food cake pan, and I used a bundt pan, which may have resulted in uneven butter absorption … all the butter soaked…

I really want to re-do the bathroom upstairs… most especially the floor. I also love Victorian decor… do you think this design is a bit too ambitious? Wood is mold-resistant… right? I can’t help it, I’m just in love with dark wood paneling. I would actually have this bathroom built if I was rich and designing a manor house for myself (because manor houses totally have a place in modern New England). Maybe I’ll aim for putting some paneling in my room first… I think it would go great with the sparkly purple ceiling. 🙂 Or maybe I’ll just try…

But Mommy… I don’t want to take a bath, I love the dirt!

Here are the pics of Arin from today… outside getting super dirty! Some of the streaks on his face are from a coal log he stole out of the fire pit and decorated himself with. War paint!

We had quite the busy day today. Things kicked off to a start around 5am when Bobo decided that getting up before the sun would be a fantastic adventure. With all those hours in the morning we had plenty of time to clean the house, what a fun day! Okay, so after nap time things picked up. We went outside and kicked balls around a bit (apparently Arin is fated to be a soccer star, so I’m trying to start him early. This summer he will have his very own pro coach, as Lauren will be here coaching for some…

Bobo is at an age where he loves to stack, sort, and line things up. He even gets quite mad if you mess up something that he is ‘collecting’, and gets *very* unhappy if a big pile of books he is stacking gets unstable and falls (such as when he is stacking said pile on someone’s leg, which is not the most sturdy base for books). This was so cute though, he balanced his books at even intervals along the top of the sofa. The place that his books end up most of the time now is on the sofa.…

This was the cutest thing I have seen in a while… I came into the room and found Bobo sitting quietly on the sofa amidst all his blankets… hugging this hard plastic toy shark! It was around nap time and I guess he needed something to cuddle with! As you can see, he can’t snuggle very close because it’s quite hard and sharp… right down to the teeth. Arin was absolutely terrified of it the first time he saw it… it got thrown into his bathtub and he freaked out and wouldn’t sit down even after I had removed the…

Whenever my mom comes home from work, Bobo runs to go get her. Not because he wants a hug or he misses her (though of course he does), but because he wants his daily “king-kee”! This day it was a little lollipop. She usually brings home a little candy for him from work, where apparently they have an endless supply. I guess when working with lasers you need a lot of sugar? Who knows. But, this is what we go through every week day, with Momo of course complaining that she gets no love- but she brought this upon herself…

Here is the beginning of the wedding rings Julie is making for Sarah… the wedding that we went to last summer, (just saying…) isn’t the cutout pretty? There’s going to be another ring of yellow gold behind this piece of white gold, so you’ll be able to see it through the cut-out and on the top/bottom/inside. The groom’s ring is similar but it has a stylized dragon cut-out. Don’t worry though, she made them silver mock-up rings for the actual wedding, and I guess they’ve been wearing those this whole time.. 🙂 BTW that’s what 500 dollars worth of white…
