Ariana holding Arthas tight as they sit on the sofa for a cuddle. She loves her baby brother so much and is such a thoughtful and caring big sister, she is just delighted to hold him and play with him.

I have almost no images during the time I was pregnant with Arthas because I was intensely sick with severe hyperemesis gravidarum, however, I did manage to put on makeup for one day. This took place sometime in the third trimester, and I must have felt especially motivated that day or at least determined to put on a brave face as I was vomiting multiple times a day and nauseous the rest. The result is that I have three photos of my face looking normal and not like death warmed over, this is my favorite of those. You can perhaps…

When we lived in Portland, Maine every day was a new princess dress or four, and our Siamese cats couldn’t have a single bite to eat unattended.

Flashback to December 28, 2015 I found these sweet images of Ariana fallen asleep on her changing pad and I knew I had to edit them. These are from 2015 so I will backdate them eventually. She was such a quiet and sweet little baby, although she was always very hungry and loved her milk! She was so calm, able to fall asleep drinking her milk, being cuddled, or even just stretched out for a diaper change. Ariana is still our little princess, the only girl with three crazy brothers. Everyone in the house noticed how much she looks like…

I might have a little Panera problem, but how adorable are these little trees? Could not resist, but I did share.

Dear World, Today it is my birthday. So I have decided this is my annual Facebook birthday photo. I made it à la volée for the occasion one year specifically because a recent ex hated that I liked Grumpy Cat- as well as everything in the universe- and I just could not think of anything more awesome for him to stare at as he sat, miserable and frustrated at being now locked out of my profile like the unwashed masses, with only this sucker for him to remember me by as he drunk internet stalked me on my birthday. That’s…

Someone was nice and cozy beside the Christmas tree this evening!

My sister rifles through her pack while a wild cat waits hopefully for a snack, at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. The Greek temple is now in ruins, but the views from the former mountain sanctuary of the Oracles are still breathtaking and inspiring.

I printed an 8×10 of this photo out and have it framed in the hallway, I love it. Everytime I walk by it it makes me smile and think of warm summer sunsets and hugs. 🙂

I finally went out and bought a new lens for my very old DSLR camera. It’s magical. It’s ALL about the lens, I cannot believe I waited so long to get this thing. So in love! Canon’s 50mm f/1.4. Perfection. Here’s a little closer: The perfect lens for capturing portraits, especially of those handsome baby brown eyes of Arin! It’s great for all types of portraits, not just close ups, and gives such a dreamy yet crisp and sharp image. Highly recommended!
